Business Intelligence Analyst / Power BI Report Writer Location: Barton-upon-Humber, UK Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) Quarterly Bonus Are you passionate about data and turning it into meaningful insight? We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a centralised BI team working on one of the largest reporting transformation projects in the sector. You’ll play a key role in consolidating 500 reports into concise, interactive Power BI dashboards, helping to build a new data warehouse and moving the business away from legacy systems. This role offers the opportunity to work end-to-end across requirements gathering, SQL development, data modelling, and DAX-driven report creation – with plenty of scope to influence how data is accessed and used across the organisation. What you’ll be doing: * Develop and deliver high-quality Power BI reports to replace legacy Excel reporting. * Work with the BI Manager and wider team to test, refine and implement datasets in the new data warehouse. * Apply Databricks SQL and MySQL skills to query, transform and optimise datasets. * Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and scheduling for secure, real-time reporting. * Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, insightful, and user-friendly. * Support the continuous improvement of BI infrastructure, workspaces, permissions, and report governance. What we’re looking for: * Strong experience with Power BI (DAX, data modelling, RLS, workspace/app management). * SQL expertise (MySQL / Databricks). * Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering accurate, professional reports. * Proactive, inquisitive, and results-driven approach with the confidence to challenge and clarify. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to a range of audiences. * Experience in sales reporting or retail sector (desirable).
