With an emphasis on effective delivery and integrity, they are making a significant impact in the UK's construction industry. Operating across diverse sectors such as education, hotel & leisure, residential, senior living, student accommodation, cladding remediation, and commercial projects, they boast a varied and engaging project portfolio. With an impressive £200m turnover and a team of over 200 talented individuals, this contractor prioritises development and progression for its employees. The role You will be site-based with a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a skilled site team, assisting on a £17m new build hotel scheme. What will you be responsible for? As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the commercial management of projects that may range from £5m-£30m. Working under the guidance of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll help manage costs, assess financial viability, and ensure value for money while maintaining compliance with legal and contractual standards. Your day-to-day may include: * Assisting in the financial assessment and reporting of projects * Supporting procurement activities and evaluating subcontractor returns * Managing applications for payment and conducting on-site measurements * Producing commercial reports and maintaining accurate project documentation * Collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives The right person 18 months plus as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or a subcontractor You will live within an hour of Watford.
