Care Home Cook Brampton, Cumbria Reference number: JJ67816 My client in the Brampton area is looking for a trustworthy and hard-working Care Home Cook to work in their Care Home for Elderly Patients. Care home Cook Job details: Days Hours: 27 hours - 3 days a week Pay: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour Contract type- full-time, permanent. Your Role as Care home Cook: Under the guidance of a Head Chef on duty, you will be a part of a dedicated team. Preparing and cooking high quality meals, assisting the Head Chef and Home Manager in menu planning. The Chef must ensure Residents with special dietary needs receive attractive, appropriate and varied meals. -Menu planning. -Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment. -Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner. -Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards. -Follow recipes and presentation specifications. -Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. -Restock items as needed throughout the shift. -Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards. -Recording food temperatures. Role Requirement: Experience as a Care Home Cook Strong communication skills Ability to work as part of a team and individually Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents Experience in a similar environment. ·Actively help maintain compliance with current Dietary, Food Safety and EHO Standards. ·Passionate about cooking.
