Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated Assistant Outlet Manager to join our pre-opening team. The role will report to the Outlet Manager – F&B. Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italy’s most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences. The hotel is also featuring a SPA, 5 food & beverages outlets and more than 1000 sqm events venues. Main duties and responsibilities The Assistant Outlet Manager supports the Outlet Manager in the smooth and high-standard operation of the assigned F&B outlet. This role is primarily operational and guest-facing, ensuring that service — from breakfast to dinner, and including banquets or events when required — is delivered with rhythm, precision, and a guest-centric approach. In detail: Independently manage the assigned outlets-function operation during assigned shifts in the absence of the Outlet Manager. Supervise the daily floor operation, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times. Guarantee execution of opening, service, and closing procedures according to SOPs. Monitor hygiene, HACCP, and safety standards throughout the outlet. Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experience. Act as outlet leader during shifts, supervising staff and ensuring performance aligns with brand standards. Train and coach new team members; support continuous service training. Monitor grooming, punctuality, and professionalism. Support on daily staffing adjustments as delegated by the Outlet Manager. Conduct and participate in pre-shift briefings and communicate updates clearly to the team. Keep shift handover notes and logs accurate to maintain continuity. Ensure clear internal communication of menu updates, operational changes, and guest feedback. Ensure consistent, high-quality service is delivered to all guests, in line with brand standards. Handle daily requisitions and stock checks; ensure dispense areas are properly stocked. Monitor usage, rotation (FIFO), and report discrepancies. Ensure accurate use of POS systems, including entries, adjustments, and basic reporting. Skills and requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as Assistant Manager or Floor Supervisor in a 5 star or upscale hotel environment. Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus. Knowledge of Office suites and hospitality management systems (e.g., POS, PMS, procurement platforms). Ability to independently run day-to-day operations in the assigned area Proven leadership, communication, and team development abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize under pressure. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and high-occupancy periods. Familiarity with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene protocols. Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg.
