Job Description Administration Assistant (16/1003) Business Support Base – Dumfries (Irish Street) £13,918.50- £14,782.50 We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to join the Statutory Framework Hub within the Business Support Service. This team provides essential support to teams across Social Work Services and plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timely administration processes for Public Protection Committees, Fostering, Kinship & Permanence, Adult and Child Protection meetings and Looked After Children Reviews This is an 18 hour, permanent post based in the East of the region. You will be responsible for ensuring that the administration processes are carried out to the highest standard. This post will involve working as part of a team alongside other Administrative Assistants including assisting with Public Protection Committees, Adult Support & Protection and Fostering, Adoption and Permanence administration processes. You may also be required to provide cover across the region either remotely or travelling to other locations within Dumfries and Galloway. This post may also require, on occasions, for you to work out with normal working hours, e.g. beyond 5pm. An SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent along with excellent typing and minute taking skills are requirements for the post. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools are essential. You should be able to demonstrate confidentiality and be able to handle sensitive information professionally. A minimum of 5 years office experience, interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills, along with the ability to work to tight timescales whilst under pressure is required.
