Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary, performance-based bonuses tied to practice growth and client satisfaction, a 401(k) with matching opportunities, and a monthly health care stipend. Important Notes: The start date for this position is dependent on the start date of our new Probate and Estate Planning Attorney. This role is not dedicated to a specific attorney but serves the firm as a whole, promoting a unified and supportive team environment. This role has the option to be hybrid, which means you are welcome to work from home when there are no client-facing meetings to in-office tasks and have fast, reliable internet at home. Upload Link: https://workdrive.zohoexternal.com/collection/bjicz5a70e72269644a5899a30cf9af91c799/external Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 yearly Responsibilities: Client Communication & Intake: Serving as a compassionate primary point of contact, you will handle initial calls from families after a loved one has passed and hold potential new client interviews to gather essential information. You will be responsible for keeping clients consistently updated on the status of their cases, building a foundation of trust and support. Comprehensive Case Management: You will meticulously manage probate and estate administration cases from start to finish. This includes maintaining our organized digital filing systems, ensuring all deadlines are met, and preparing for hearings. Legal Document Preparation: You will take the lead on drafting, reviewing, and filing a wide range of legal documentation. This includes core probate filings like petitions and inventories, as well as pleadings, correspondence, subpoenas, deposition notices, interrogatories, legal briefs, and affidavits. Department Development: As a key member of our team, you will play an instrumental role in developing and refining the systems and processes to help build out our probate department. Team Collaboration & Support: You will work closely with our attorneys to file motions, assist with client meetings, coordinate with process servers, and provide robust administrative support across the firm. Your role is vital to the entire team, fostering an environment free of internal politics and full of camaraderie. Qualifications: Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting is required. Education: Must have completed a certificate program from an ABA-approved paralegal program. Certification: Preference will be given to candidates who have completed advanced professional paralegal certifications. You are the ideal candidate if you: Have a proven track record as an experienced probate paralegal. Possess exceptional organizational , time-management , and detail-oriented skills. Are highly tech-savvy and a proactive learner, comfortable mastering new software and working effectively in a digital-first, hybrid environment. Are an outstanding communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a talent for clear, professional writing with excellent grammar. Possess a service-oriented heart.
