A private family based in the picturesque British countryside is looking for a dedicated duo to join their household as a Housekeeper and Gardener/Handyman. About the Role: This varied and fulfilling position is ideal for couples with a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and a positive, can-do attitude. The successful team will work closely together to ensure the smooth running, upkeep and comfort of the family estate, both inside and out. Key Responsibilities: Housekeeper: Responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming home environment. Duties include regular cleaning, laundry, ironing and general tidiness. Experience with family cooking and meal preparation is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential. Gardener/Handyman: Oversee the maintenance of all outdoor areas, including gardening, landscaping, and general repairs. Duties also include interior maintenance, spotting and prioritising tasks, and coordinating with contractors where necessary. A practical, energetic approach and a keen eye for detail are a must. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in similar domestic roles is preferred. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work harmoniously as a team. Proactive, energetic, and able to take initiative. The Gardener/Handyman must hold a clean UK driving licence and possess a good level of physical fitness. Comfortable dealing with external contractors and prioritising maintenance tasks. A background in the military or police is highly regarded, bringing discipline, integrity, and commitment.
