Pay Information $1,942 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Med/Surg experience End-of-life care experience Description: This is a position in a Medical Surgical/Oncology unit. The unit has a capacity of 27 beds but can expand to 37 with double rooms. There are 38 staff members on the unit. On the day shift, staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 or 5 RNs, 1 PCT, and 1 secretary. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 3 or 4 RNs, 1 PCT, and 1 secretary until 9 PM. Patient ratios are generally 5 to 6 patients per nurse. The unit is equipped with Baxter pumps, SCDs, and wound vacs. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Ideal candidates are outgoing and independent. Floating to other areas may be required. The dress code is navy blue scrubs.
