Senior Accountant - EMEA HQ

In Amsterdam, a global hospitality organization is looking for a senior accountant to join their growing team. In this role, you will take ownership of multiple entities, giving you the opportunity to oversee a broad scope of responsibilities. In this position, some of your daily tasks will include: Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate journal entries, intercompany allocations, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations; Prepare and review key financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with Local GAAP and US GAAP; Analyze financial trends and variances, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making by management; Ensure tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions (ie: UK, Germany, and Italy), including VAT reporting and local tax filings; Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification and posting of transactions such as payroll, billing, bank entries, and staff expenses; Assist with the annual budgeting process and contribute to periodic financial forecasts; Provide audit support by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards; Play a key role in finance function development as the team expands and centralizes accounting operations; Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation of recurring reporting tasks.
