TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301! Pay Information $2,153 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Reading basic telemetry strips experience Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients Experience with CVA and TIA Description: Unit specializes in telemetry and surgical/neuro care. The unit has 48 beds and consists of two sections. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. Common patient diagnoses include COVID, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes, TIA, CVA, and various surgical patients. Nurses are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign them at least once per shift. Telemetry is monitored remotely, and technician support is available. Charge nurses do not take patient assignments but oversee unit operations. Nurse aides are present with a ratio of 1:10-15. Available equipment includes BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and various breathing treatments. Shifts are 12 hours long, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Self-scheduling is utilized, but the final schedule requires manager approval. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as per rotating schedule. Floating to other units may occur based on qualifications.
