Pay Information $2,686 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Nursing License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Lab - Proficient in Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations, IABP Placement/Removal - Capable of managing medications such as antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and emergency medications - Skilled in IV therapy including blood product administration and starting IVs - Knowledge of interpreting and managing dysrhythmias Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse with a specialty in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The nurse will work in both diagnostic and interventional settings. Procedures include, but are not limited to, cardiac stent placement and left heart catheterization. The nurse should also be familiar with percutaneous coronary interventions and pulmonary artery line monitoring. Candidates must have experience with various medications and IV therapy. It is essential to interpret 12 Lead EKGs and monitor procedural sedation. Knowledge of both infection prevention and isolation precautions is required. The role includes circulating procedures with a patient ratio of 1:1. Nurses will float to other areas as needed, and there is a rotating call schedule every fifth weekend. Patient diagnoses primarily include a range of cardiovascular conditions. Familiarity with special procedures such as PCI and cardiogenic shock management is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable using specialized equipment, including Impella and Ultrasound devices. Professional knowledge in vascular closure systems and radiation safety protocols is advantageous.
