JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Primary Care (Family Medicine / Internal Medicine) Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Cheshire, CT Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: 08/01/2025 08/01/2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with 30-minute lunch; 40 hours/week COVERAGE DATES 08/01/2025 08/01/2026 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults only Patient Volume/Census: 20 patients per day Admissions: No Rounding: Not Included Phone Consults: No Case Mix: General Primary Care (Internal/Family Medicine) FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Lab and Radiology onsite (Quest Lab, Jefferson Radiology) Support Staff Available: 1 MA per clinician; shared nursing and front desk staff; on-site manager Reason for Coverage: Provider leaving in December PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES General outpatient primary care procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Connecticut license preferred Board: Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine DEA: Active DEA Certification Experience: Minimum 2 years of primary care experience Other Qualifications: Experience with Epic EMR preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult patients Manage up to 20 patients per day Utilize EMR system (Epic) for documentation and care coordination Collaborate with practice staff including APPs, MAs, and administrative team Maintain 36 hours of patient-facing time and 4 hours of administrative duties weekly
