On behalf of a Pastizzi Cafe Pty Ltd, we are conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Chef for their renowned culinary team. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen’s operations; includes instruct cooks and otherworkers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food; Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour, and overhead costs; – Developrecipes and determine how to present the food to the customers and create decorative food displays; Determine production schedules and staff requirement; Give practical exhibition of different techniques of cooking various dishes. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients; – Inspect supplies,equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality; Keep up with the industry trends and create new recipes in collaboration with the Cook; Approve and polish dishes before they reach to the customer; Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages; Interviewing, hiring and training new staff; Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed; Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen; Taking care of kitchen’s accounts and creating a work roster; To ensure that kitchen maintenance problems are promptly reported; Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standard. Qualifications and Skills: Qualifications in a related area. Minimum 1 year relevant experience. Excellent time management abilities. Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes. Familiarity with sanitation regulations. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 – $90,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
