Temporary full-time position for up to 6 months, with a view to ongoing employment. $83,591 – $95,076 per annum (depending on skills and experience), plus an all-incidence allowance of $7,863 per annum, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Based in Wagga Wagga, NSW About us The Wagga Wagga Electorate Office is committed to serving the community. It is the point of contact for constituents and local community groups to engage with the Member for Wagga Wagga regarding state government services and responsibilities. About the position Dr Joe McGirr, MP has an opportunity for an experienced office administration professional to join his small and dedicated team. The Electorate Officer is the initial point of contact for all constituent enquiries. Administrative and secretarial functions are central to this role to support Dr McGirr to ensure the efficient operation of the electorate office. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the NSW Government and have a social justice approach to your work. Superior organisational skills, the ability to prioritise competing tasks and excellent communication skills are a must. You must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Knowledge of the Wagga Wagga electorate will be an advantage. The role requires after hours work for which an annual All Incidence of Employment Allowance is paid. Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement and ability to perform at a high standard under limited supervision and within a team environment. An interest in, and understanding of, the NSW Government. Good word processing/keyboard and computer skills in an office environment.
