Horticulturist

Permanent Full-time (average of 38 hours per week) The City of Rockingham is located 40km south of the Perth CBD and is one of the fastest growing local governments in the south metropolitan area. Responsible for assisting in the implementation of the City’s winter tree planting program for parks, reserves and streetscapes, you will need to be able to make informed technical and operational decisions and provide support, leadership and advice to staff members and apprentices as required. Works will primarily be comprised of tree planting, staking and tying trees, installation of water wells or mulch bowls, weeding, watering and minor formative pruning. You will be required to work to daily maintenance schedules and safely operate of a variety of horticultural equipment.
