Utilities Management Officer $93,235.45 per annum base Fixed Term, Full-Time (2 Years) Exciting opportunity to join one of Melbourne's largest municipalities. A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will Sunshine transformed into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through the Brimbank. We are currently seeking a Full Time Temporary staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine. The role Reporting to the Climate Emergency Coordinator, we are seeking a Utilities Management Officer who can bring: Specialised technical knowledge and industry expertise in energy sector. Knowledge of functional utilities best practice, principles and methods. Understanding of Federal and State Government policies and guidelines relating to energy sector and environmental sustainability. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. This includes the ability to set parameters, research and utilise new products, resources and/or methods for delivery of strategic objectives. Expert level computer competency in spread sheets and data base applications. To be considered you will have: Relevant Tertiary qualifications in a related field. Demonstrated work experience and specialised technical expertise in energy sector. Expert level computer literacy in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Local government experience is desirable.
