This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025 Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. Ballajura CC is seeking a talented, hardworking, dedicated and enthusiastic Home Economics (Hospitality and Living) Teacher. Ideally, the successful applicant will have a proven ability to provide high quality learning experiences for all students and be willing to join our team of like-minded professionals. As the successful applicant, you should be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. You will ideally utilise innovative initiatives and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This may involve you reflecting and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and cultivating a safe learning environment. You would also utilise evidence-based teaching practices whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods. With effective interpersonal skills, you will ideally work closely with students, teachers and the community to instil rigour, resilience and pride, allowing students to achieve to their full potential. The successful applicant would be provided the opportunity to work in our Design and Technologies (Hospitality and Living) Team across Years 7 to 12. You would show an ability to cater for a diverse range of student learning needs. A proven ability to successfully teach year 11 and 12 courses is highly desirable. Ballajura CC offers Vocational Education Training (VET) industry specific courses and any certificate qualifications and industry experience, in relation to the Hospitality and Living area, would also be advantageous.
