Kennedys coffee is a local friendly neighbourhood cafe serving specialty coffee, a delicious brunch menu and in-house baked treats. We are well known for our delicious Hawker Rolls that have been carried on from Hymn Coffee. You’ll find us in Tweed Heads, just five minutes over the border from Coolangatta. We are all about creating a welcoming, feel-good space for our customers and our team. What You'll Be Doing Preparing and presenting a fresh daily selection for the cabinet, think toasted sandwiches, burritos, and ham & cheese croissants Par-baking croissants and cookies each morning to keep the café smelling irresistible Cooking and plating delicious breakfast/brunch style dishes with care, following Kennedy’s style Prepping fresh ingredients to keep the kitchen running smoothly Preparing in-house catering for offsite events including corporate finger sandwiches, fruit platters, wraps, and grazing boxes Helping to manage stock, reducing waste and lending a hand with ordering when needed Keeping our kitchen clean, organised and up to food safety standards Working autonomously and with pride in cleanliness and upkeep. Keeping cool room and dry goods storage tidy, labelled, and well-stocked What You’ll Bring to the Table A willingness to get creative with plating and specials and to collaborate on new seasonal menu ideas A positive, can-do attitude that continues the positive vibe in our cafe An eye for detail, especially when it comes to presentation and prep Pride in your work and the dishes you create A love for keeping things clean, organised, and running smoothly The ability to work solo when needed, while still being a great team player A genuine interest in being part of a café that values good food, good people, and community spirit What We Offer Complimentary coffee to kickstart your day (we’ve got you!)
