Overview Regional Senior Underwriter - Commercial Join to apply for the Regional Senior Underwriter - Commercial role at Capital Insurance Group . This is a remote position that can work in any of the five states we serve: California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada and Oregon. Responsibilities Evaluate small to middle market Commercial lines risks within a defined territory under general supervision. Review submissions to determine risk attributes, pricing, and alignment with Company guidelines and policies. Build strong agency relationships to develop new business opportunities; maintain a healthy renewal book and manage profitability metrics. Underwrite more complex and sophisticated risks; make production calls and develop new business with top or middle tier agents. Adhere to underwriting guidelines and authority; may perform other underwriting duties such as quality control, territory analysis, and agency training. Qualifications Knowledge of commercial lines underwriting principles, manuals and rating plans. Ability to evaluate new and renewal business for acceptability, pricing, and adherence to underwriting guidelines. Familiarity with property, general liability, auto and umbrella coverage. College degree (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 3 years of underwriting or agency experience preferred. Commitment to continuing education; CPCU, AU, ARM, CRM or CIC recommended. Education And Experience College degree (or equivalent experience) and five to ten years of experience writing small to middle market risks as a commercial lines underwriter. Completion of technical insurance coursework preferred (CPCU, AU, ARM, CRM or CIC). Salary Salary Range: $63,729 - $105,153 The salary range is provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and location. This position may be eligible for additional compensation such as benefits and bonus programs.
