Job Description Job Description Marron Lawyers, a Long Beach based business litigation firm seeks an Office Administrator. The candidate would be administering a demanding, but rewarding environment, with a strong group of collegial co-workers. The position is full time, in office. Requirements: Must 3 to 20 years of experience in legal office administration. Skill set consistent with managing a law firm that practices in sophisticated areas of law with capable management of highly motivated attorney and support staff; strong employee benefits & insurance; strong marketing; hands on office management and administration. About the Firm: The Firm was established as a solo practice in 1995 and has grown to 13 attorneys. The Firm is focused on business/commercial litigation and labor/employment defense and acts as general and litigation counsel to a number of medium to large sized companies in the transportation industry. We also represent one of the major shipping ports in Southern California. The practice is 3tatewide and national with an equal mix between state and federal court. Job Description: The Office Administrator will handle standard administrative tasks for a 13 lawyer/20 employee Firm. This includes day to day management; operation of a professionally run and maintained office; participation in various major areas of Firm administration such as employee management; benefits; compensation; technology; insurance; invoicing and client relations; marketing; leasing & landlord relations; technology including software subscriptions, managing the Firm’s outside IT consultants; updating and maintaining administrative and legal software/data management programs, etc. The position is supported by the Firm’s historical manager who has semi-retired but continues to handle major assignments such as bank account reconciliation and client invoicing; two office staff/clerks are also available in order to assist the selected candidate. A key role is to relieve administrative tasks for the Firm’s principal attorney as well as assisting with some modest outside business matters. Ideal position for ambitious junior administrator seeking to expand experience and sophistication, or experienced Administrator looking for a more relaxed and hands on experience at a stable boutique firm.
