CLASS 1 DRIVER MONDAY - FRIDAY: 07:45AM - 4:00/5:00PM PAY RATE: £16.00 PER HOUR What's in it for me? People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our client based in Edinburgh, specialising in domestic and international removals. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity offering consistent work, structured routes, and occasional UK-wide travel with overnight stays. What are the benefits? As a Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits: Weekly Pay Paid Induction & Driver Assessment Ongoing, Full-Time Work Overnight Allowance (when sleeping in the truck) Hotels Provided for Long-Distance Jobs Manual Handling Paperwork Completed On Site Routes Confirmed in Advance Supportive and Compliant Team Day to Day Duties Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to: Driving 18-tonne vehicles for private domestic and international moves Assisting with manual handling as part of all deliveries Operating vehicles safely and efficiently across both local and long-distance routes Completing on-site manual handling paperwork Adhering to traffic laws and following company safety procedures Travelling across the UK with overnight stays as required (hotels or van, depending on team size) Essential Skills As a Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card Be willing and physically able to assist with manual handling Be punctual with strong timekeeping and communication skills Be open to overnight stays when travelling long-distance Have no serious licence endorsements (we do not accept IN, DD or CD codes) Desirable Experience Newly passed drivers welcome Experience in removals or long-distance driving is a bonus Training All drivers will complete a short Driver Assessment One-day paid induction follows successful assessment We will not re-supply drivers who have previously worked on site Contact Apply today by clicking below.
