About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department/Swing ShiftJob Specialty: NursingJob Duration: Permanent PositionShift: 11:00 am - 11:30 pm; 24 hours/week and every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours per weekExperience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience requiredLicense: Current State License as a Registered NurseCertifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP (all to be obtained within specified time frames if not already held)Must-Have: Acute care experienceJob Description: Render collaborative nursing care via Patient Coordinated Care to a caseload of patients for an assigned shift, in accordance with treatment plans and nursing standards.- Promote the health potential of patients through the implementation of the nursing process.- Delegate appropriately and direct staff in the coordination and delivery of care.- Assume responsibility for appropriate utilization of care resources.- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.- Adhere to service delivery standards for high customer satisfaction, recognizing opportunities for improvement.- Perform direct patient care for various age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, in the emergency department and trauma settings.- Demonstrate ability to perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.- Utilize communication modes to ensure continuity and safe care.- Care for patients undergoing invasive and operative procedures.- Provide assessments and promote neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, skin, and genitourinary functions.- Administer medications with knowledge of actions, routes, dosages, and side effects.- Implement patient safety practices and provide end-of-life care interventions.- Follow infection control practices and demonstrate trauma care knowledge.- Complete and maintain accurate emergency department logs and patient records.- Collaborate with providers on treatment plans and patient response.- Reassess and revise care plans as necessary and support discharge plans.- Serve as a preceptor for students and staff, providing feedback on performance.- Follow the chain of command to resolve issues or challenges.Comments: This position is directly hired and is eligible for a sign-on bonus. 25933517EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS ACLS - AHA BLS BLS - AHA Core Competency PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam TNCC 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing If you have a sense of adventure, travel nursing provides the opportunity to explore different cities, states, or even countries.
