Job Description Job Description The Crete Township Community Center is looking for an energetic and organized Community Center Coordinator to lead day-to-day operations, develop engaging programs, and foster community connection. This part-time salaried position is perfect for someone passionate about making a direct impact in their community through planning, outreach, and leadership. What You’ll Do Program & Event Management Create, organize, and manage classes, events, and activities that serve residents of all ages. Coordinate facility rentals and ensure a seamless experience for renters. Partner with local groups and businesses to expand program offerings. Facility Oversight Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Schedule regular inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs. Ensure compliance with all safety and accessibility regulations. Community Engagement Be the go-to person for residents and community partners. Promote programs and events via social media, newsletters, and local channels. Build strong relationships with residents, volunteers, and local stakeholders. Administrative & Financial Duties Monitor budgets and track program expenses. Maintain records, attendance, and reports for transparency and improvement. Support grant applications, sponsorships, and fundraising efforts. Team Support & Supervision Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, interns, and part-time staff. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure a positive, productive team culture. What You Bring 2 years of experience in community programming, nonprofit, or recreation leadership preferred Excellent organizational and communication skills Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic facility or booking software Experience with budgeting, outreach, and/or grant writing is a plus Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends as needed Why Join Us? Company Description Crete Township is a government unit founded in 1850. We provide various services to our residents and also maintain over 85 miles of roads. The Community Center building is a 32,000 square foot building on 15 acres which was acquired in October 2024. The Community Center Coordinator is an important position that will initially be part-time but will likely grow into a full-time position. The Coordinator will work directly with the Supervisor and Board of Trustees in implementing programs and services for our residents an in coordinating the usage of the Community Center building and campus.
