TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Houston, Texas, 77090! Pay Information $1,892 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP Must-Have: - 2 years of ER experience in a main ER - Experience working in a designated trauma facility Description: The unit has 9 beds and a staff of 4 RNs. The patient ratio is 4:1. Equipment used includes a Lucas Device, nurse-run lab, ventilator, CPAP/BiPap, Blanketrol, and Lifepack 15. The EMR system in use is Meditech. Candidates experienced in running lab equipment such as Picolo, Istat, Triage Meter, ID Now, and Clinitek are preferred. Typical procedures performed in the unit include chest tube placement, intubations, conscious sedation, wound repair, splinting using Orthoglass, nebulizer treatment, and ventilator management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong team spirit, as it is a small crew focused on team nursing. The candidate should be able to manage high acuity patients with limited staff until transfers can occur.
