Travel Nurse RN - Cath Lab - $2,601 per week in Frisco, TX

Job Title: Travel RN - Cath Lab Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 3 years Cath Lab experience License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Critical thinking and ability to work independently Description: This is a travel RN position in the Cath Lab. The shift is from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. There will be 11-13 call days per month, which may include 2 weekends. Call coverage for 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday is required. The unit has 98 beds and a staff of 8, including 2 PRN Techs and 1 Shared RN. During the day shift, there are currently 2 RNs, 3 full-time Techs, and 2 PRN Techs. The night shift has a 3-person on-call team. The unit utilizes equipment from Philips, GE, Pyxis, and MacLab. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed in the unit include cardiac caths, TEE/CVNs, pacemaker implants, PVS, EP ablations, PE/DVT thrombectomies, and Lexiscan injections for nuclear medicine stress tests. The ideal candidate should be flexible, patient, supportive, and take initiative. The work environment is described as a slower-paced department with busy days. The team is known for being laid-back and drama-free, valuing their physicians highly. This assignment is in a vibrant area with hotels, restaurants, and activities nearby.
