Pay Information $2,130 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Float Pool Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum one year experience preferred License: State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the NLC Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Must-Have: Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred. Description: Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family. Identifies and meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards and guidelines. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Assesses the patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data. Evaluates the patient's response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Develops and implements the patient plan of care and observes outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including but not limited to IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. Promotes, advocates, and collaborates to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient. Provides patient and family education through assessment of patient and family learning readiness, needs, and ability. Provides teaching and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching. Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient's preferences, values, and needs. Provides relationship-based care, striving to understand what is most important to the individual and actively engages them in all aspects of care. Delivers care with respect for cultural differences and the diversity of human experience. Delegates to non-RN personnel in accordance with nursing policies and procedures. Effectively uses time, personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care. Acts as a professional role model for all staff, demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional nursing processes. Manages resources and patient flow by aligning nursing competencies with individual patient and unit needs. Uses standards of care, nursing policies and procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice. Functions effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care. Precepts and mentors new staff or nursing students as needed. Seeks out learning opportunities and continuing education. Maintains professional records that provide evidence of competency and lifelong learning. Evaluates one’s own integrity and nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines. Takes action to achieve goals identified during the evaluation process. Floating may be required to various locations within a specified radius.
