We offer specialized services and personalized care for children with medically complex conditions from birth through age 20. Role Description The Director of Nursing (DON) for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) is responsible for overseeing the nursing services and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric patients. This role covers multiple GenCare Kids PPEC centers and requires the DON to travel between centers located in Kissimmee, FL (34744), Haines City, FL (33844), and Melbourne, FL (32940) . You will manage nursing staff, coordinate with healthcare providers, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards across all assigned sites. This position demands strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to pediatric care in a dynamic, multi-site environment. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of general pediatric nursing experience, with at least six (6) months spent caring for medically fragile infants or children in a pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, PPEC, or similar care setting within the previous five (5) years. Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a PPEC setting is highly desirable.
