Job Description
We are looking for an Automotive Project Manager on behalf of one of our clients, a company specialized in polyurethane foam production and vehicle headliner manufacturing , with over 80 years of experience. Objectives Manage assigned automotive projects from design to stabilization in mass production, ensuring compliance with the Quality / Cost / Delivery triangle and overall customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare product cost estimations for RFQs (requests for quotation) and provide technical support to the sales department. Plan, organize, and coordinate projects from the design phase through to the start of serial production and up to 6 months after launch. Monitor series production and manage product changes according to customer and internal requirements. Assess project risks, track budgets, control costs, and raise alerts in case of deviations. Coordinate and implement product modifications in series production. Estimate costs of modifications during the project and series production phases. Ensure compliance with design rules, project quality systems, and product/process safety standards. Participate in product development and quality validation with the customer prior to mass production launch. Implement corrective actions in case of deviations from QCD (Quality / Cost / Delivery) objectives. Required Qualifications Master’s degree (Engineering school or equivalent) and at least 3 years of project management experience in the automotive industry. Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Gantt, ERP, etc.). Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949) and lean manufacturing principles such as Just-in-Time production. Professional command of English (written and spoken) – European travel about twice per month required. Knowledge of German would be a plus. Strong cross-functional leadership, organizational skills, methodological rigor, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.
