Location: Soissons or Saint-Éloy-les-Mines Contract: Permanent Salary: €60–65K We are looking for a Logistics Category Manager (M/F) to join our Group Sourcing & Procurement team and play a key role in implementing our purchasing and logistics strategy. Reporting directly to the Group Category Director, you will be responsible for the strategic management of several logistics categories, ensuring alignment with performance objectives while leading optimization and sustainability projects. This is the role Develop and execute category strategy: You will define logistics category strategies in close collaboration with the Global Category Director and stakeholders, in line with ROCKWOOL Group priorities. Portfolio management: You will analyze costs, segments, suppliers, and markets to prepare accurate budget forecasts and identify improvement levers. Manage tenders: In collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing team, you will run tenders to obtain the best conditions in terms of quality, price, service, and lead times. Proactive stakeholder management: manage relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring smooth communication and tailored solutions. Guarantee of zero supply disruption: Ensure production sites experience no supply interruptions related to your categories. Continuous optimization: Implement a savings pipeline through innovative solutions, challenging the status quo, and effective resource management. Personal development: Take responsibility for your own professional development with the support of your manager. This is who you are Higher education degree (minimum Bac 4 / Master’s or equivalent) in business, engineering, or similar. 5–10 years’ experience in category management, purchasing, supply chain, or logistics, with proven tangible results in complex, international environments. In‑depth knowledge of the global logistics market, enabling you to anticipate trends, identify optimization opportunities, and lead large‑scale projects. Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams, engaging stakeholders, and driving strategic projects. Strong sense of innovation and results, with a proven track record in cost reduction, complex project management, and successful implementation. Expertise in category management and negotiation, able to conclude win‑win agreements while optimizing contract terms and supplier relationships. Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to work effectively with international partners. Comfortable analyzing complex data to make informed decisions and deliver impactful, market‑relevant recommendations. Skilled negotiator, able to manage prices and commercial terms while making strategic compromises to achieve the best outcomes for the company. Collaborative leader, able to work cross‑functionally with multiple teams, offer and receive coaching, and support talent development within the organization.
