Job Description
Overview Splendido is a collection of ultra-luxury hotels renowned for providing exceptional guest experiences and unparalleled service. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cluster Safety and Security Manager to oversee all aspects of safety, security, and risk management for a portfolio of our prestigious ultra-luxury hotels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset and will be responsible for fostering a strong safety culture across all properties, working with the divisional safety and security lead and general manager to create a secure and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive safety, security, and risk management strategies aligned with hotel objectives Conduct annual and regular risk assessments with Heads of Department to identify key vulnerabilities and protect critical assets Serve as the hotel\'s primary liaison with local authorities, community stakeholders, and regulatory bodies Manage the Risk & Safety department; conduct performance evaluations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and career development Oversee safety, security, and risk mitigation projects, including vendor contracts and external service providers Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks to staff and guests, then design and deploy effective mitigation strategies Develop safety and emergency protocols tailored to functions and property specifics Lead crisis planning, emergency drills, and the hotels\' preparedness programs Manage incident investigations, coordinate with local emergency services, and ensure prompt resolution and documentation Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, fire safety, food safety, and security regulatory requirements Perform regular inspections of risk management systems (e.g., fire and evacuation equipment) and supervise corrective actions Provide timely risk and safety updates, incident analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership Promote a strong culture of safety, security and resilience awareness and compliance across all departments through training and communication initiatives Conduct risk assessments for VIP visits, special events, and large functions; advise on and implement protective measures as required Oversee all aspects of physical security, including event security, CCTV systems, and access control Manage and train security and non-security personnel, ensuring preparedness to respond to incidents and emergencies Monitor and maintain all fire safety systems and relevant planned preventive maintenance Manage the safety, security and resilience budget and allocate resources to address key risks and priorities Stay abreast of emerging safety and security threats and technologies; proactively implement measures to enhance the security posture of the hotels Work with Human Resources to execute background checks and other pre-employment screening Support F&B with hygiene and food safety Provide guidance and support to hotel management teams on all safety and security matters Drive a strong culture of safety, security awareness, and continuous improvement across all hotel properties Requirements Certification in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field 5-10 years of progressive experience in safety and security management Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive safety and security programs Strong knowledge of physical security principles, security technologies (CCTV, access control), and business risk management methodologies Excellent leadership, strategic communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively train and motivate internal and external security personnel and non-security personnel Working knowledge of relevant safety and security regulations, including European standards Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities; ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to emergencies calmly and professionally Benefits Competitive salaries and health insurance plans Complimentary and preferred-rate experiences at our iconic destinations Wellness programs Additional Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Other Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting J-18808-Ljbffr
