This Position reports to: Project Lead Engineer. Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced traction systems within the Motion business, focusing on embedded software and control solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing software components, interfacing directly with customers, and supporting commissioning activities on-site. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality solutions for railway and power device applications. Your ability to manage complex projects and organize tasks effectively will be key to success. Main Responsibilities Design and develop embedded software solutions using C language. Utilize MATLAB and Codesys for modeling, simulation, and control logic development. Interface directly with customers to gather requirements and provide technical support. Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Support commissioning and testing activities at customer sites (5-10% travel expected). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage complex technical tasks. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards. Qualifications for the role Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in industrial or railway applications. Strong proficiency in C programming. Experience with MATLAB and Codesys. Previous exposure to power devices and railway systems is a strong plus. Proven ability to manage projects and organize tasks in complex environments. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers. Willingness to travel occasionally for site commissioning and testing. Good command of English for meetings and documentation.
