Compensation Hourly Pay Rate: $86.49 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,090 - $2,200 Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details Location: Vineland, NJ 08360 – Conveniently located in Southern New Jersey, close to local amenities and parks. Employment Type: Local Contract Nursing Job Division: Acute Care / Cardiac Stepdown / PCU Hours per Week: 36 (Full-Time) Contract Duration: 8 weeks (potential to extend) Shifts: Every other weekend required; 1 holiday per contract Floating: Willingness to float within specialty and to Elmer location as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Stepdown, PCU, or Cardiac Telemetry nursing Specialty experience in Cardiac PCU, Telemetry, and Cardiac care required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA only) Proficient in Cerner electronic charting system Ability to wear navy scrubs Strong commitment to completing all orientation and training requirements Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical skills Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/PCU unit Provide specialized cardiac care, including trach care, bariatrics, nocturnal vents, and stroke care Manage patient ratios: 1:5 for Stepdown/PCU; 1:6 if floated to acute care Float within cardiac specialty and to Elmer location as required Participate in unit-based orientation and in-person/virtual training sessions Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Vineland, NJ is a thriving community offering a blend of suburban comfort and easy access to nature, making it an ideal location for healthcare professionals.
