Pay Information $2,172 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years recent telemetry experience required License: New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: BLS - AHA, NIHSS, Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Exam Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years recent telemetry experience required - BLS - AHA certification required - NJ State Professional RN license or multi-state compact license required - NIHSS certification required - Telemetry Certification required Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessments based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages the care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The schedule includes 6:45 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week on an observation unit, every other weekend, and one winter and one summer holiday during the contract. There is no on-call requirement, but may require floating to another similar unit as needed. Tele/NIH/ACLS certifications are strongly preferred.
