NICU RN Job Details Location: Longmont, CO 80501 (Colorado nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level II or III Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Start Date: October 27, 2025 End Date: January 31, 2026 Contract Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am – 7:30 pm) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Weekend/On-call: Required Floating: May be required within 60 miles or designated float zone Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880-$2020 NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Colorado or participating NLC state (required) Associate Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required) STABLE certification (preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent NICU RN experience preferred Proficiency in IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection Ability to float to other clinical units as needed NICU RN Responsibilities Assess and address the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of neonatal patients in the NICU Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, and specimen collection Educate patients and families, assessing learning readiness and evaluating effectiveness Advocate for patient safety, rights, and well-being in the neonatal intensive care environment Deliver compassionate, relationship-based nursing care that respects patient preferences and values Delegate appropriately to non-RN healthcare personnel according to policy Serve as a professional role model and mentor for new staff and nursing students Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and clinical research activities Maintain professional records and pursue ongoing nursing education to ensure clinical competence Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel NICU Registered Nurse in Longmont, Colorado.
