Key Job Details – Chicago ICU Nursing Jobs Location: Chicago, IL 60631 (Illinois nursing jobs) Unit: 30-bed SICU/MICU/Neuro ICU Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/15/2025 – End: 12/14/2025) Shift: 12-hour nights (7:30 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required ICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required) Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience Clinical experience with open heart (CABG), neuro, and CRRT patients Proficiency with EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Ability to float to other critical care units as needed Compliance with all onboarding requirements (drug screening, immunizations, background check, skills checklist, etc.) ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver expert care to high-acuity ICU patients, including post-op CABG, neuro, and CRRT cases Monitor and manage complex patient conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR Float to other critical care units as required by census Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled Ready to take your ICU nursing career to the next level?
