Travel RN Job Details Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Respiratory 7N) Start Date: November 9, 2025 End Date: February 7, 2026 Duration: 13-week contract Shifts: 12-hour days (07:00-19:00), every other weekend, holidays as required Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week available) Guaranteed Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,840 Dress Code: Solid Navy scrubs Parking: On-site parking available Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses accepted) Associate degree in Nursing required Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; will consider candidates with at least 18 months, including 1 year in Med/Surg Telemetry Experience with Meditech EMR preferred Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care to adults with acute and chronic respiratory conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, and other pulmonary diseases Care for patients with GI issues, diabetes, stroke, and post-surgical needs Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on the main unit and 1:4 on the 8-bed respiratory step-down unit Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds to ensure comprehensive clinical care Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards Work every other weekend and holidays as required Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EMR Demonstrate flexibility by floating to other units or hospitals as needed Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Tuscaloosa, Alabama!
