Medical Director - Pediatric Hospitalist Join a dynamic pediatric hospitalist practice in the heart of Hollister, California, where you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of young patients. This exceptional opportunity at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital allows you to lead a dedicated team while caring for newborns and providing emergency consultations in a beautiful semi-rural community just minutes from Monterey Bay. Job Responsibilities: Serve as Medical Director for the pediatric hospitalist practice at the hospital. Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries. Conduct emergency room consults involving pediatric patients. Manage pediatric admissions of low acuity cases. Provide well newborn care at the hospital. Collaborate with the affiliated Level-III NICU for newborns requiring intensive care. Work a full-time schedule consisting of twelve 24-hour shifts per month with on-call responsibilities from home. Support a hospital with approximately 500 deliveries annually. Engage in a collaborative environment; commuters are welcome to apply. Qualifications: Board Certified Pediatrician (BC) is required. Current inpatient hospital experience. Ability to reside within the immediate local area; relocation may be required. Clean malpractice and license history is highly preferred. License and Certification Requirements: Current California Medical License or willingness to obtain. DEA must be obtained prior to start.
