Pay Information $2,734 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Level III NICU License: Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate Must-Have: Strong experience with high frequency vents, conventional ventilators, Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation (NIPPV), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP), IV fluid management to include drips, hemodynamic support, and post-operative care. Experience in whole body cooling, admissions, IV placements, lab draws, wound/drain/line care, ostomy care, central line dressing changes, and IV fluid changes. Competence in titrating IV fluids and interpreting Arterial Blood Gases (ABG). Ability to assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) placement, umbilical line placement, and chest tube placement. Full time Level III NICU experience is required. Description: The role involves providing exceptional care to neonates and infants in a critical care setting. Manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 for stepdown. Care for patients with extreme prematurity, various congenital and acquired conditions, and post-operative needs. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for optimal patient support, including therapy, respiratory, and social services. Participate in high acuity procedures and patient management, ensuring adherence to safety and care standards. Floating within the scope of practice may be required. Must be available for assigned winter holidays and certain weekend shifts.
