TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Danville, Virginia, 24541! Pay Information $1,942 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Required licensure/certification to work as an RN in Virginia Certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH Must-Have Skills/Experience: PCU and Telemetry experience. Description: Client's mission is making communities healthier. We aim to create places where people choose to come for healthcare. The facility is a 250-bed academic community hospital serving the region for more than 120 years. It is the region's only designated chest pain center and certified advanced primary stroke center accredited by relevant organizations. The facility includes comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency department services, and an advanced wound healing center. It also features a cardiac rehabilitation center, two catheterization labs, a day surgery center, and medical and radiation oncology services. Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Travelers must have required certifications prior to start. Consent for random drug screening and completion of a criminal questionnaire/consent form are required. Random drug screens are completed on-site. The area is known for its small-town charm with city offerings, situated along the banks of a river with ample parks and trails. The facility serves all ages with a patient ratio of 1:4 in the progressive care unit and 1:6 in telemetry. Experience required in med/surg and telemetry. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, renal failure, diabetes ketoacidosis, and atrial fibrillation. Dress code includes scrubs of any color, with no casual wear permitted.
