Pay Information $2,150 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: SICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, NIH, BLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting - Experience in managing complex surgical patients and trauma cases - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Proficient in arterial line management and blood product administration Description: The ideal candidate will provide care in a specialized critical care setting. The patient population will include trauma patients, cardiovascular surgery patients, neurosurgery patients, and other complicated surgical cases. Responsibilities include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, and blood product administration. Common diagnoses seen in this ICU include acute ventilator needs, severe infections, unstable gastrointestinal bleeding, trauma cases, and post-operative cardiovascular recovery. The nurse will be responsible for managing patients with multi-system organ failure and those requiring continuous renal replacement therapy. The staffing ratio will be appropriate to skill level and patient acuity. Floating to step down units may be required based on patient census and needs. The position requires every other weekend coverage. The role will involve working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
