Pay Information $2,040 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Less than 1 year License: RN - State License or RN - Multi-state Compact Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS Must-Have: Associate's Degree in nursing or graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Excellent time management skills. Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of the interdisciplinary team. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, safe patient care. The RN practices in a clinical environment supported by nurse managers and leaders. Care is administered through a professional practice model and evidence-based practice. The RN is expected to uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the state professional nurse practice act. Nurses implement the scope of practice and code of ethics standards. The individual is expected to uphold the voice of the patient while supporting service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: The RN performs the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Care is individualized and coordinated through effective partnerships, with a focus on optimal patient care outcomes. The RN provides relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics. It is essential to partner with patients and significant others, using appropriate communication methods. The RN practices using current clinical practice standards. Teamwork and Collaboration: The RN coordinates safe quality patient care and promotes interdisciplinary communication methods. Timely documentation and promotion of a respectful clinical environment are fundamental. Demonstrating teamwork involves practicing in a fiscally responsible manner. Participation in performance improvement initiatives is expected. Professional Development and Initiative: The RN completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments as required. Serves as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses and staff. Models professional nursing practice and supports creation of a healthy work environment. Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promotion of evidence-based practice and nursing research is essential. The RN participates in data collection and evidence-based practice activities. Consultation with experts and use of appropriate evidence is expected to address clinical practice questions. Resources and Support: The RN proactively plans for patient care across the continuum.
