Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Work in a 27-bed emergency department with 50 RN staff and 25 medics • Day shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics with increases at 11am (4-5 RNs) and 3pm (1-2 RNs) • Night shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics • Patient ratios of 4-6:1 • Weekend requirement: four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period • No on-call responsibilities • Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments • Must have 2-3 years emergency room experience • High acuity, fast-paced ER with high volume preferred • Experience with patient ratios of 5:1 preferred • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC • Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH • EMR system: Meditech • Typical procedures: RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, psych patient care, EMTALA transfers • Dress code: navy blue or white scrubs • No floating required • Ideal personality: relaxed, easy going, friendly, team oriented, respectful Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department with 27 beds and maintains high standards for emergency medical care.
