Facility: This 600 bed facility serves as both a Level II Adult Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The neurosurgery practice is well-established and high-volume, with 5 neurosurgeons and 4 advanced practice providers serving both adult and pediatric patients. Opportunity: Certified - Neurosurgery PA or NP (First Assist) Job Details: • Immediate full-time coverage needed for an experienced Neurosurgery PA or NP with first assist capabilities • Position focuses on inpatient rounding and first assist in the OR, with no outpatient responsibilities • Call rotation among PAs includes 1:4/5 weekend call responsibility and 1:4/5 night call responsibility • Must have active Florida license • Current board certification required • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an advanced practice provider in Neurosurgery OR • ACLS and BLS certifications required • Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-60 days • Patient encounters per shift varies based on surgical schedule and patient needs • Located near Tampa International and Clearwater/St. Pete airports for convenient travel Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
