Travel Nursing Job Details Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D), Obstetrics Nursing Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut (06610) – Connecticut healthcare jobs Setting: Community Hospital Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/19/2025 – End: 12/19/2025) Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required On-Call: 3 night call shifts (4-hour blocks) per six-week schedule Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130 Free Parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I or travel nurse experience) Active Registered Nurse license in Connecticut or eligibility to obtain (Connecticut nursing license) BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required Experience with electronic charting systems (Epic preferred) One professional reference required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Not accepting local candidates (must be >75 miles from facility) Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Triage and provide care for obstetrical patients in a busy Labor & Delivery unit Utilize External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and manage insulin drips Circulate and recover C-section patients Perform sterile vaginal exams and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE protocols Support facility births (100-200/month) and provide care for low-risk obstetric patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Complete required modules and orientation prior to start Apply now to join our healthcare team as a travel Labor & Delivery RN in Bridgeport, Connecticut!
