Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. In this critical role, you will provide high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and child. Your expertise in nursing practices and patient care will be essential in managing complex situations that may arise during labor and delivery. Responsibilities Assess and monitor patients throughout the labor process, providing continuous support and care. Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Perform triage assessments for incoming patients, prioritizing care based on clinical needs. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding labor, delivery, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR systems for patient records management, including Epic or Cerner. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Stay current with best practices in obstetric nursing, including infection control measures. Qualifications BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) NRP STABLE AWHONN Must have MT/compact license OB experience with OR Circulator experience. Possible float to MS, ICU or ER.
