Opportunity: RN - Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • 2 openings available with immediate start date • Weekend requirement: 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule • Patient ratios may be 5-6:1 depending on floor assignment and patient acuity • Required to float to any floor of the facility to care for patients within skill set based on facility need and staffing • One year of recent nursing experience preferred • Current Louisiana or COMPACT RN license required • Current BLS certification via AHA required • Current ACLS certification via AHA required • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given • Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers • Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers • Complete all annual competency verification requirements • New hires receive precepting by designated trained staff and must complete organizational entry competency validation Facility: This healthcare facility is part of a larger health system that emphasizes competency-based nursing practice and comprehensive patient care.
