Travel Nursing Job Details Job Title: PICU Registered Nurse – Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVPICU) Location: Charleston, South Carolina 29401 Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract Unit: Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVPICU), 29 beds Start Date: October 27, 2025 End Date: January 26, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (3x12s per week), 7:00am–7:30pm & 7:00pm–7:30am Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; holiday rotation Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020 Charting System: EPIC Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVPICU) RN experience Clinical experience with cardiovascular and pediatric patients Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience highly preferred Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact nursing license (pending license considered with proof of application) BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association required) ACLS certification (AHA) preferred First-time travel nurses welcome Ability to float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Stepdown units as needed VAD training provided upon arrival PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver specialized nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients, including those undergoing cardiac surgery, VADs, heart transplant, ECMO, and CRRT Monitor and manage critically ill patients using advanced cardiac and ventilatory support equipment Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, and ancillary healthcare staff Document patient care accurately in EPIC Participate in unit-based quality initiatives and uphold Beacon Award-winning standards Float to related pediatric units as needed Provide compassionate support to pediatric patients and their families Why Choose Charleston, SC for Your Next Travel Nursing Job?
