Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care Hospital, Intermediate Care Unit (ICC) Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (locum tenens) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/21/2025 – End: 1/20/2026) Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30) Weekly Hours: 36 (Guaranteed) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460-$1500 Orientation: 16 hours Scrub Color: White Charting System: EPIC Parking: Free in unrestricted spaces PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 18 months of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN experience (2 years preferred); ICU experience required Active Registered Nurse license (RN) – Florida or compact state; pending license accepted Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS (required at submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Proficient with Epic charting (level 3 or 4 required) Experience with cardiac drips and critical care protocols Nicotine-free (negative cotinine drug screen required) COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) First-time travel nurses welcome Ability to float to all 3 hospitals within 20 miles as needed All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront Must pass EKG and Pharm test during orientation (2 attempts max) PCU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Manage arterial and central lines Administer continuous IV sedation and manage ventilators (including BiPAP/CPAP) Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform suctioning (ETT, NT) Implement isolation precautions and ensure proper use of PPE Float to other units or hospitals within scope as needed Complete required modules and compliance tasks promptly Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
