Employer Description Hotel in Pretoria Job Description Our client is seeking a Sales Specialist/Sales Executive with proven experience in working with travel trade, corporate clients and event planners, Travel agents, Tour operators, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), Corporate clients, Travel wholesalers, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) with B2B platform Familiarity with South African source markets, feeder markets and their booking patterns. Key Responsibilities: Drive B2B sales across corporate, STO, DMC, FIT and wholesale segments to meet revenue targets. Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share and support rate-setting aligned with budget goals. Source new business via personal networks, cold calling, online leads, sales visits, trade shows and exhibitions. Grow room night and conferencing revenue by nurturing existing accounts and converting leads. Identify segment-specific opportunities and tailor solutions to client needs. Manage key accounts, ensuring service excellence, revenue growth and timely contract renewals. Collaborate with Revenue and Reservations teams to maintain rate parity and booking accuracy. Plan and implement marketing campaigns and tactical offers to boost revenue. Support brand-aligned promotions and host client-facing events within budget. Prepare proposals, contracts, and correspondence with the Sales Coordinator; maintain CRM data integrity. Coordinate bookings and client requests with operations; track pipeline and conversion metrics. Deliver regular sales reports, forecasts and performance insights. Monitor competitors, market trends and rate positioning. Uphold brand standards and ensure client satisfaction through responsive sales support. Align with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in client engagement and messaging. Qualifications Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Sales or Business Administration. 5–8 years in sales, business development, or account management within hospitality, travel or tourism sectors. Strong knowledge of FIT, STO, and corporate sales cycles, client needs and pricing strategies. Experience working with corporate travel buyers, tour operators, wholesalers and event planners. Skills Proven ability to multitask under pressure with limited resources Proficient in hospitality CRM and PMS systems Experience in hotel, travel, tourism and service sectors Fluent in English with strong writing, speaking and negotiation skills Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities In-depth knowledge of SA travel trade and global source markets Advanced MS Office and online research proficiency Discreet, professional and client-focused Skilled in deal negotiation and closing across all client levels Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills Strategic thinker with sharp attention to detail Owns a portfolio of FIT, STO and corporate contacts
