Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Restaurant Hostess Luxury Game Lodge - Wolmaransstad, North-West Requirements · 2 – 3 years experience in a 4/5* Hotel/Lodge Restaurant Reception. · Excellent communication and customer service skills. · Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. · Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. · Good physical stamina for standing and walking for long periods. · Familiarity with reservation software and point-of-sale systems. · Previous experience as a Restaurant Waiter (Advantageous). · Grade 12 and must be computer literate. · Must have strong administration skills and be well organized. · Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Description · Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide a friendly first impression, and direct them to the host stand or waiting area. · Manage the reservation system, accurately record walk-ins, and assign guests to tables to ensure efficient turnover and balance the workload for servers. · Provide accurate wait time estimates for guests and manage the waiting area, ensuring a comfortable experience. · Answer phone calls, provide information about the restaurant, menu items, and hours, and address general guest inquiries. · Have a thorough understanding of the menu, ingredients, and prices to answer guest questions and make recommendations when asked. · Maintain a clean and organized host stand and front-of-house area, and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met. · Support the waiting staff by assisting with tasks such as refilling waters, running food, or even bussing tables during busy shifts. · Handle guest feedback and resolve any immediate issues or concerns with professionalism and poise.
